David Quigley, Founder of the Alchemy Institute of Hypnosis (scroll down to view books, and videos!)David Quigley, BA, CHT created Alchemical Hypnosis in 1984 and is the founder and Director of the Alchemy Institute of Hypnosis in Santa Rosa, CA.
A graduate of Duke University in comparative religion and transpersonal psychology, David also has extensive training in Gestalt, primal therapy, group process and Jungian psychology, as well as courses in Ericksonian and clinical hypnosis and NLP. The synthesis of his inner experience and studies is now known as ALCHEMICAL HYPNOSIS, and is practiced by thousands of professional hypnotherapists and other successful healing arts practitioners around the world. David is the author of two popular hypnotherapy textbooks "Alchemical Hypnotherapy – A Manual of Practical Technique" and “The Alchemy of Healing.” In addition to his busy private practice, and co-teaching leading professional trainings, David has travelled widely to teach and to mentor the establishment of approved Alchemical Hypnotherapy trainings in many locations worldwide. He has presented at the United Nations Enlightenment Society and at numerous hypnotherapy conferences. Since late 2018, students no longer have to "stop their lives" and trek to David's base of operations in Santa Rosa, CA because that's when David began offering LIVE ONLINE instruction including workshops and two full Professional Certification Training Programs. As the online trainings were already well established before the worldwide pandemic lockdowns began in March of 2020, he was able to seamlessly continue on with classes and programs throughout that challenging time. In early 2023, David launched a new series of live online Experiential Discovery Clinics on Monday evenings, where he leads participants on an experiential "deep dive" into a topic, and/or shares and demonstrates a hypnotherapeutic protocol to help resolve common issues. These Clinics have proven to be very popular with clients, students and graduates of the Alchemical training programs: as of late summer 2024, there were more than 50 titles on the list of Clinics. In the spring of 2024, David stepped back from full time teaching. He now enjoys being a guest instructor in the Alchemical training programs as well as teaching occasional live online workshops, leading the Monday evening Clinics on Zoom, and serving clients worldwide in his private practice. |

Here’s one example of how the Alchemical Tarot methods are integrated with a hypnosis session: As you help your Client to enter each card in hypnosis and they ‘become’ the important figure for that card, you help them discover the unique meaning of this card for them. The practitioner then places the client’s felt sense of the card into the context of the client's question and the position of the card in the client’s reading ("present circumstances of the question") to determine the actual MEANING of the card.
