- Specialized training and attention to the ethics and boundaries of the hypnotist’s use of touch, including forms of touch to avoid during the various stages of the process.

David Quigley, BA, CCHT has been a leading professional in the field of hypnosis therapies for almost 40 years. Over the years in addiction to serving thousands in his private practice, David has traveled widely around the globe to teach and certify practitioners and mentor the establishment of schools and professional training centers worldwide.
Somatic Healing was first developed by David in 1978 when he was crippled with rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, severe food, pollen, and dust allergies, chronic lung disease and multiple chemical sensitivity. Using the Somatic Healing methods, David restored his own health. Somatic Healing is now endorsed and practiced by multiple therapists around the world as an effective way to help people heal, complementing primary medical care. A graduate of Duke University in comparative religion and transpersonal psychology, David also has extensive training in Gestalt, primal therapy, group process and Jungian psychology, as well as courses in Ericksonian and clinical hypnosis and NLP.
