Around this time of year, there is a surge of interest in the supernatural and spirit world, in spirit manifestation and hauntings. This interest has been shared by generations, for thousands of years, but it wasn't always "ghosts and goblins, witches and jack o'lanterns." The Ancients of many traditions believed the end of October and early November was a time when the veil between the world of form and spirit was thin, when it was easier to access information from spirit.

Origins of Halloween (and the Hallowmas season)
Samhain Fire Festival
The origins of Halloween date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). They celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. The Ancient Celts often held raging bonfires – fire being a common way to ward off evil spirits. Later, in towns, the fires shrank and were instead replaced with turnips or gourds, which were inexpensive, readily available, and could be carved with scary faces to ward off evil. Later still, when Irish immigrants and descendants of the Celts came to America in the 1800's, they soon noticed there were not enough turnips in America, so instead the settlers started using pumpkins. So, a new tradition was born and people started carving out faces and placing candles in pumpkins. Over time, Samhain and the Christian traditions of Allhallowtide, All Saints day and All Souls day merged to create the modern Halloween.
So, in the real spirit of the season, Diana Ruth brings us together to discuss and understand these ancient traditions and while the "veil" is thin, then in a profound trance ritual, guides you to easily tap into the wisdom from your Spirit Guides and if you wish, to communicate with a departed loved one in spirit.

Diana Ruth comes from a family of metaphysicians. Her early learning of Ancient Mysteries and New Thought, Celtic and Native American spiritual practices led Diana Ruth to incorporate wisdom from all Truths into her own life and to share these gifts with others by offering one-on-one professional services and by teaching classes and workshops. Her vision and responsibility is to be an active participant and facilitator of the vibrational upliftment of Love and Light on Earth and all her relations, including the future generations.
